That’s why when Muniq approached us with their idea to build a BigCommerce website to sell their prebiotic resistant starch shakes, we were excited to work with them to get their patent-pending creation out there.

The Muniq team was looking for a BigCommerce website that was user-friendly to sell their shakes. More specifically, they were looking for an experienced software development team that could build their custom, user-friendly website. Muniq envisioned a clean, beautiful website that highlighted their products and provided education about gut health.

Munqi needed Vivus to take this concept from the idea stage to a market-ready BigCommerce website. Vivus completed the website development using JavaScript and custom API development using Python.

• Web Development using JavaScript (Javascript/JQuery/ReactJS/HTML/CSS). We crafted a custom Stencil (BigCommerce) template for this E-commerce website. It was important for the template to be dynamic so that non-engineers would be able to update the website’s content. We were able to make the template simple enough that Muniq’s marketing team now easily adjusts the website’s content without having to contact our developers. Another top priority for any E-commerce website, including Munqi, is to have a website that is responsive to any screen size. Their website (muniqlife.com) perfectly fits any screen from desktop to mobile, keeping their products front and center.
• API Development (Python with Flask). We built a custom Flask (Python) backend API to handle basic authentication, social authentication, and cart logic. This simplified the login process by allowing users to log in to Muniq’s website using Facebook and Google. Muniq’s custom API server is hosted on Heroku (a cloud application platform) and is able to effortlessly scale up in times of need and growth.

Vivus designed, built, and optimized a responsive interactive website and custom content management system (CMS). We implemented web projects on an hourly basis. This has involved simplifying guest checkout functionality, fixing bugs, and creating landing pages. Simplifying guest checkout, but other site additions, bug fixes, and landing pages are within scope. Within the first month, the user-friendly site made more than $250,000 in sales. Website management and updates went from requiring developers to being handled by entry-level marketers with no coding experience.
